Jimmy Carter Contributes to the New York Times, Op-Ed gets page A19.

Former President James Earl "Jimmy" Carter contributed a stunning piece, criticizing the United States turn from a "global champion of human rights".  Citing specifics in the past ten years where the US government has chosen power or lucrative business over protecting humanity.

"Jimmy Carter, the 39th president, is the founder of the Carter Center and the recipient of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize."

"A version of this op-ed appeared in print on June 25, 2012, on page A19 of the New York edition with the headline: A Cruel and Unusual Record." - New York Times

I am willfully and knowingly quoting this entire article directly copying all links in context and citing New York Times copyright.  I have a minuscule readership in comparison to the NYT, and with Carters former presidency, this article is probably going to garner some attention anyway, even a tiny blog like mine can help with that. I understand that NYT cannot give preferential treatmemt to this article, especially considering it is an Op-Ed piece. The neato thing about the internet is, I can.

Dissent isn't limited to the "radical left" or the "privileged academic", across the board people are speaking out against these human rights atrocities.  You can click through to "A Cruel and Unusual Record" on the New York Times website and proceed no further if you have an issue with reading the exact same thing here.
